What KAOS series differs from Greek Myth

หลังจากดู #Kaos ครบ 8 อีพี (ซึ่งสนุกมาก) ก็ค้นพบว่ามีบางจุดที่ต่างจากตำนานที่รู้มา (ซึ่งผู้กำกับบอกว่าซีรีส์แค่ Based on Greek mythology แล้วตีความใหม่ ไม่ได้ยกมาแบบโต้ง ๆ ดังนั้น จึงเข้าใจได้ในส่วนของอรรถรส) แต่จับจุดต่างก็น่าสนใจดี เผื่อมีคนดูแล้วอยากรู้เหมือนกันว่าจริง ๆ แล้วเรื่องราวมันยังไงกันแน่

After watching 8 EP of KAOS season 1, it has some nuances that I noticed. These are them!!

first

Eurydice and Orpheus can make it through the underworld in the series, but they can't in the myth -- Orpheus looked back for Eurydice which is prohibited from Hades, god of the underworld. Hence, she came back to abyss and he was badly bewailed.

Moreover, in the series, she didn't love Orpheus anymore, and they tried to against gods.

Second

In the mythology, Caeneus was female, but she was raped by god. In consequence, she asked to transform into male. However, in the series, Caeneus was grew up with the Amazon gang, female warriors. She was mentioned as transgender has romantic scenes with Eurydice. Moreover, this role played by Misia Butler, who is transgender, to amplify that this is the safe zone for them.

Third

Hera has an affair with poseidon while the myth is barely said about their relationship.

Fourth

Dionysus accompanied Orpheus to bring his wife back while in the myth, he angered of him summoning Apollo and caused him to death.

Fifth

Literally, Zeus didn't care much for Prometheus because he stole fire from gods to humans. However, in the series, Zeus consulted Prometheus what to do with in-obedient humankind.

Sixth

In the myth, Theseus was the one who conquered the Minotaur. In contrast, he was the bodyguard and gay and little extra for this series. Instead, the Minotaur was defeated by Minos and he himself was killed by Ariadne, his daughter.

Seventh

Indeed, Glaucus, Minos' son, was not a Minotaur, but it seemed to be in the series. The villainous Minotaur was cursed by Poseidon; his wife has affair with bull to revenge King Minos as breaking a promise with him.
